Termite Prevention In Log Homes

By Karen Nodalo

The day after Hurricane Katrina hit the GulfCoast town, thesurvivors were too worried about their homes. They have lefttheir homes and marched to evacuation areas that made them veryuncomfortable. This was very grim and harsh for them leavingtheir beloved homes.

They were all startled to see their house have turned down anddestroyed every single thing they have built even their preciouspossessions. There was this couple who were crying upon seeingtheir house in total wreck. If only it took a little timerecovering the house but it seems as if it may take the wholething to begin fixing it up.

From a perfect peaceful house, now became rubbles. They justheld tightly to each other and sighed that at least they stillgot each other. This reparation will surely take a lot of timeand effort. This tragedy surely will affect the economicalcrisis but that is not the problem at hand now.

The government should be able to help their people in dealingwith their losses. First things first, health and food is themost important. They should know better ways to prevent suchlosses and they should be precise in monitoring. When you goabout the places in New Orleans, you will hear and see peoplewalking all across the streets unhappy and reaching out forhelp. This has brought all the families in too much sufferingand pain.

All they could do now is worry about their own safety andprotection. This certainly brought them to traumas and negativeeffects. The worse is for those who had been suffering healthproblems. Health problems have increased but emergency and aidthis time is scarce so the more they become prone to sicknessand diseases. If this all gets over, what awaits the people andtheir homes? Too many people question if they could still find awarm place where they can shelter their own family just likebefore.

Perhaps they just have to wait and see what the government andthe president has to do with them. Some families are toodepressed to see their homes wrecked. The laughter and smilesthat were kept in their homes before Katrina have come to vanishand they feel like it has left them a mark, a mark that is meantto change their lives.
